Decade: 70s
A an oriental 1970s top and jacket combo, can be worn together or apart. The main colour is navy blue, but the fabric is covered in a really unusual oriental floral pattern with red, brown, green, blue and white spots.
The top is labelled a size 46, but measures 44". It fastens with hidden poppers down the middle of the front (so it could also be worn open, as a jacket itself). The centre fastening, around the bottom and around the cuffs is trimmed with a fabric of the same colour but slightly different design. The sleeves are three quarter length, and slightly flared.
The jacket is labelled a 42, but measures 44" too. It is the same fabric. It has a madarin collar, and fastens downt the front with four 'Chinese Frog Closures' (the decorative loop and button fastening) in white. The collar, front and all hems are trimmed with white cotton, as is the small trinket pocket on the front right hand side. The jacket has short sleeves, which look great with the slightly longer sleeves from the top showing underneath.
